They're about to begin renovations to allow the ruins to be reopened to the public , with works due to be completed in 2018. In the meantime Reading museum sometimes offer guided tours .

Don’t bother with the guided tour (11am on a Sat) - very uninspiring tour leaders. Instead do a self tour - lots of good signage
Closed since 2009. Hope they will reopen to the public someday.
Pity it's all locked up!
