Still no skating . This is the latest we've ever gone without good ice. Rumour is that some folks think the shiny bits without snow are open water! Very calm water that birds can stand on. Hmm, ice?
Careful - spring is here, the waterfall is flowing again and there's quite a bit of open water at the west end of the lake .
The skating loop is about 2km long and very smooth as the community association runs the zamboni round regularly.
Fish with a silver spoon on this private lake . Limit is 1 per day and 6 per month.
Still no skating due to the unseasonably warm weather. Wonder if this is a record for a late start to winter activities on the lake .
Finally, ice thick enough for skating ! See, -30 weather does have a plus side.
Spring is here! The last of the ice melted today.
Great facility - Angus York
Nice place, has good trails and a sweet view from the hill at north - Daria Kurilova
