Great fields , generally (no pun intended since they used to be the military parade grounds) well kept up. I just wish there was more/better lights around the field . Bundle up, it can get foggy + windy
You can see both the golden gate and bay bridges from here!
Gorgeous views of both Golden Gate and Bay Bridges from field 1!
Get off Lombard 100 yards before the toll booths to get to this field . (you'll end up on the bridge if you don't) Read more
When fog gets it pretty much like a Sophia Coppola movie .
Bring chairs. Seating is very limited.
Take a five minute walk north (downhill) of the playground and visit El Poulin Spring; one of the few urban springs visible. - Bob Lehto
Are they the best fields? No. But they are very well lit and fairly well kept up. Just be careful around the middle of the fields where it can get kind of swampy/muddy. - Will Kardas
Bring chairs. The bleachers are strangely placed and far from the field. - Michelle W
One of my absolute favorite places in San Fran! Gorgeous views, dog friendly, perfect for a long walk/picnic/run. Always a bit chilly/windy so plan accordingly. Tons of history, architecture, etc. - Lacey Capps
One of the best sceinic view in SF. There is a great gift shop right next to it. - Ece
