The chicken fried steak is perfect. The breading is crisp and doesn't layer off of the meat. The meat is tender and not too tough like most places. The gravy has soup like flavor and texture too.

Though the decor is rather...special, the good is amazing. Easily the best chicken fried steak I've had in Texas. The staff is excellent and the restaurant in general has a very welcoming atmosphere.

My husband and I were there Friday night for date night . We both ordered the large chicken fried steak and took home over half each. The food is always Delicious and the rolls are the best.

Awesome sweet grilled onions added to your chicken fried steak for only $0.79 more. Also their CFS is really the best in all of existence.

1st time- Loved the CFC & Butter beans viggie of the day. Baked squash is boiled, not baked, but good. They haven't updated their menu yet. Rolls are heavenly!

Chicken fried steak was delicious not so breaded like everywhere else. I thought the gravy was kind of bland. I got the small cfs with mashed potatoes and Mac & cheese . Over all the food was good.

If you come to Goodsons, you get the Chicken Fried Steak . If you don't, you're weird. The rolls are incredible, and you have to ask for honey .

Very good place to eat. Been coming here for years. Food is great. System is outdated. But overall service is fantastic.

The burgers are good and standard. Nothing special. The sweet potato fries are fantastic. Not too soggy and fried just right.
