The War Memorial of Korea

This is an amazing museum . It is really cool that it is free although I would recommend leaving a donation. The exhibits are well maintained and the staff is courteous. It was a great experience!

This is a must-see when in Seoul. Very impressive & be sure to sign up for a complimentary English tour . You can easily spend 2-3 hours learning about the Korean War & Korea's earlier history as well .

Should be called The Korean Military History Museum ! Outside are planes , tanks & artillery you can get up close to. Inside is a museum detailing various conflicts around the peninsula over the ages.

A museum with detailed history of not only the Korean War but also from all the past dynasties. Very educational .

Surprisingly a good museum . Well designed exhibits with multi language support. A lot short films integrated into multi medium formats... Projections. Pretty engaging

Absolutely love this place! Very interesting & informative, plus admission is free :) Take the subway to Samgakji St. Exit 12 & walk along the path for 5 mins.

Loved this museum !! So much to see, easily can spend a day here. Do a tour , and ride the 4d and 3d rides!

A great place to learn the Korean history . The place is huge and has a restaurant on the left hand side.

Make sure to visit the outdoor exhibit . So many great military vehicles to climb in and on!

Make sure you check out the museum first as that closes at 6:00 P.M. You can observe all the weapons and jets that are outside later on as there is no time restriction on them.

The place is huge. The outdoors had all the modern and old military vehicles and planes including a B-52 bomber and then inside has various rooms explaing about the Korean history and the Korean war .

Operating Hours 9:00 - 18:00. Closed Every Monday (If Monday is a holiday, it will be closed on the following day, instead).

Was expecting too much and ended up frustrated. It is more about guns and planes , ships and soldiers. Wanted to see some families histories and didn't find.
