Very nice food (that you have to order separately next door) for lunch . Lovely quiches & salads . Plus a great variety of cakes & pies for the afternoon coffee .

One of the coolest places in town to have breakfast in the sun! Have pancakes , they are delicious!
You order your food in the butchery next door. The Wiener Schnitzel (19,50€) is excellent!

Wow service has really died. Bar tenders are more interested at looking themselves in the mirror instead of serving! Received my Kölsch on the third attempt....

Kleines Spiel im Salon Schmitz: identifiziere das Weizen! Rechts alkoholfreies Weizen.Lt. Schmitz das ist ein Weizenglas! Links Weizen mit Alkohol. Bedienung raucht auch lieber als ihren Job zu machen
Frühstück im Schmitz fetzt! Bestellt euch leckere frische Sachen in der Metzgerei und genießt im Sommer wie langsam die Stadt erwacht.
Ich als Österreicher würde hier keinen Kaffee empfehlen. Man kann das, was hier als Kaffee ausgeschenkt wird nur als Plörre bezeichnen! Der Service ist auch nicht gerade top.

Kaffee aus eigener Röstung und eine eigene Kölschmarke. Kuchen (lecker!!) müsst ihr aber skurriler Weise einen Eingang weiter in der Metzgerei holen.

Bester Käsekuchen In Köln! Aber nur wenn er ganz frisch (nach Möglichkeit noch warm) ist.
Getränkepreise sind teils recht hoch (Hugo ~7€), aber der Kartoffelsalat mit Radicchio ist unschlagbar gut!
