元は台北放送局（JFAK）の建物。二二八事件ではここを占拠した本省人グループ が台湾語や日本語で蜂起を呼び掛ける放送を行い、暴動が全国に拡大することとなった。公園 内には日本統治期に全国に建てられた、ラジオ放送を流す石灯籠 風の放送塔も残されている。
1931 年に台北放送局として建てられた帝冠様式のモダン 建築 。壁面の色と赤瓦がどことなく南欧的な印象を与える。設計は台北郵局も担当した栗山俊一。
此為228和平公園内的「台北二二八紀念館」，與南海路泉州街口的「二二八國家紀念館」不同，勿將兩地點合併，謝謝！
