Browns is the place to go for high-end, carefully prepared coffee in a great environment. The soy latte (using the crème de la crème Bonsoy) is the best soy latte I've ever had! A must visit.

Kevin Dulin

The hallumi bagel was very good. Make sure to get it toasted.

Danis

Macchiato , flat white , cappuccino : all were great choices. Also the bakes were fresh and delicious. Inly issues are the small space and lack of toilet . 9/10

Alex Watson

If you’re not ordering the roast pork and celeriac sandwich you are missing out my friend. It is amazing. Terrific flat whites too.

Andrea T

Among the top 30 cafes as per the London Coffee Guide: proper cappuccino (I ended up having two!) with yummy cakes just by the Overground. The bagel sandwiches look like Martha Stewart made them!

Kukkii Koppee

Lovely coffee and sandwiches . Don't leave without trying the cinnamon doughnut muffin . Great service. Just a little small and stools are uncomfortable.

Tim Ferguson

Excerpt from an excellent letter to it's customers: "Comparing a coffee from Costa (up to £2.65) to ours (currently £2.50) is like comparing burgers from McDonalds (99p) to those from Hawksmoor (£15)"

Jon Choo

Friendly baristas , delicious food and amazing Square Mile coffee can be found in this quaint little cafe just opposite Brockley railway station.

Nick Zero

Very friendly , warm and knowledgeable staff . If you're feeling down, come here to charge your feel-good battery. And of course, well executed cups of coffee .

Adam Taylor

Had an excellent chat with the Batista on shift about square mile coffee . Very small but perfectly designed, this shop is one for the coffee connoisseur!!!

Sugar Rei

I had an almond croissant and coffee , both pretty good. Thou this place doesn't do British breakfast , just a heads-up. It's more of a coffee to-go sort of place. Very tiny but nice.

Nick Richards

Everything is still great, but now there is a toilet , so there are more great things.

James Bates

Everything is good! And it’s cashless so make sure you have your card/contactless.

They sell little bread pedlar white sour dough here - some of the best bread in london

Roy

The one "proper" coffee in SE4. Even without direct competition, Browns really is fantastic. Note: they don't take cash.

Roy

Best coffee in the area. No need to look further!

Jennifer Hardi

Amazing flat white . The croissant sandwich filled with Parma ham , tomatoes and cheese is my favourite too

Sam Garson

Cute café in a great location with good coffee and bagels and fine chocolate bar collection.

Federica

Just lovely. Great pizza (I'm Italian btw), coffee and friendly atmosphere . Also a few copies if the New Yorker scattered around.

Paul

Great halloumi and peppers bagel - I've already eaten the other half in the photo.....yum

Sam Garson

Cute café with great coffee in a great location. Try the cinnamon donut muffin .

Eva George

The toasted banana bread is gorgeous!

Mark Ashbridge

There's the legend of a dog called Ludd. Also recently refurbished, can't wait to get back. Once local haunt to Belfast boy Foy Vance.

Dan Joseph

Great coffee and can't beat the toasted banana bread

Ralph Cowling

A coffee shop with so little rational criticism it feels comfortable charging £3.10 for a tiny and unremarkable flat white coffee . Ignore and go next door.

Lucy V. Salek

Coffee is first rate. Recommend the donut muffins !

Steve Cook

Since their renovation, much more expensive coffee and tiny portions. Try the Broca next door , or if you're getting a train try the Matchbox on the station platform .

Sofia

The brownies are to die for and coffee is outstanding!
