I'd have to say that the Ren Fest attendees were about the most unhealthy, choke down the bile at the site of their cigarette smoking sloth that I have seen in many long years. Fest was fun, though.
Visit the Gnarlies and visit with the Gnarlie Mother, she has the best stories! And each Gnarlie is one of a kind!

The two best shows this year are the Human Combat Chess Match down at the Glade and "I Love the 1490s" at the Washer Well Stage!
You don't have to know how to play Chess to enjoy the Human Combat Chess Match ! I didn't and still enjoyed it. This show was packed!
You HAVE to see the WASHING WENCHES!!! Greatest show at the festival !!
Be sure to see the Royal Cigar Smoker Society (a.k.a "The Smoker") show!
Having been o Renaissance festivals around the USA and even some small ones in Europe. This was by far the worst one. It should be called Renaissance flea market as the entertainment sucked.
Go try the Cezare at the crepe stand. Delish!

Human Combat Chess Match @ Royal Glades , Bawdily Harm and Jolly Rogers @ Pirates Stage and Get Shrewd @ Three Lions were all GREAT!
