Ramen Tatsu-ya is the long-awaited collaboration between local chefs/DJs, Tatsu Aikawa and Takuya Matsumoto. The two of them first met as they were busy making their marks on the Austin scene as hip-hop DJs.

Crazy fast and really tasty, I got the sho-yu version of their classic and it was great. The chasu in particular is nice and fatty and not over cooked like it can be at a lot of ramen places .
A must try in Austin! Trendy spot with quick counter service. The ramen was savoury and flavourful! Don’t forget to order the gyoza and edamame too.
Insanely fast ramen . Try one of their bombs - the spicy bomb is great. If you’re looking for an extra kick, go with the fire in a bowl. The cold brew green tea is also super refreshing on a hot day!
Slam dunk. Tonkatsu/shoyu broth = velvety goodness. Goma pork = what you wish all porchetta was. Add shrooms and Brussels sprout to achieve epitome of umami.
Better in SF, NY and obviously Japan, but pretty good. The spicy miso (forgot the name) is good. Skip the curry rice though
Tsukemen was my fave but shoyu and original were fab too
Friendly staff , great beer (& sake ), and ok tasting ramen . Had the Mi so not & mi so hot, not as good as the hype. Also indoor AC not working properly, not ideal in 100 degrees Texas summers.
Great. Shoyu tonkotsu with Brussels sprouts + cabbage/bean sprouts mix
Miso ramen was perfect. Great outdoor seating setup too.
This new east side location is, as expected, excellent.
Best ramen in ATX
Crucial ramen
Not the cheapest Ramen around but it's amazing!
Great spot for small bites and unusual Japanese craft cocktails. ???? - Greg Ackerman
Best Roman I’ve had in Austin. Better than the one in the domain. Strongly recommend, and add the chili paste. - Jonathon Taylor
Such a great looking place for legit ramen up north. For fans of OG ramen (yes, like Tatsuya/Michi) try the #3 and work your way around the menu. Order the shashu pork for a good starter. Overall: A - Miriam Ramirez
Fun spot. Nice drinks. Coll vibe indoors, and a large outdoor seating area with a food truck. Very chill vibe, and mixed crowds. - Polina Weitz
Amazing bar and great backyard with the best food truck ever. The chicken buns and beet fries are so ridiculously good. - J P
