Best place to shop for souvenirs if you are here on holiday from overseas - all the other malls have western shops mostly like any high street or mall around the world.

very old and worn looking shopping centre,but full of charm and the little shops i visited were good and the staff were friendly . Good chemists if you forgot to bring anything with you.

The first biggest shopping mall in chennai built back in british period. Now it s the only mall where u can actually bargain and shop for best buys...

Those olden days of Spencer craziness seems to have gone. Surprised to see the shops sell low priced items in such a big mall !

Pashminas and shawls galore! Most stores have touts outside. It gets annoying. If you can ignore and browse, then you will find a LOT of gorgeous shawls and knick knacks.

I would suggest visiting Spencer during the week to avoid the weekend crowds; however, if you must go on the weekend, I recommend between 10 am and 2 pm. After 2 pm it starts to get really crowded . Read more

Spencer Plaza was my college day hangout till 2006. Now a days Express Avenue have stolen few fans of Spencer plaza :)

I personally think its a great place to shop, past it's time of course, an they could improve stuff, but still great

You can visit for cheap mobile accessories , clothes and definitely cheap money exchanges

Good shopping mall but after express avenue came this mall became underrated

I went with my boss to spencer mall . I am working for a European company. The security who are employed there are so arrogant. They shout at the buyers. Now onwards Express mall or Phoenix mall only.

Good only for the Kashmiri stores now and yeah Landmark and foreign exchange.

Still a good place to hangout and spend time for a while.

This was the only option for Chennai youngsters to roam around at early 2000s before ampa skywalk and express avenue is opened.

Women get harassed there by handy craft shop keepers on the top floor,Kasmiris. Bad A/C ,Damp food court ,Empty shops,Not cheap ,No security.

Very nice place in chennai....only age of 15 to 35.

Once upon a time it was the only the best mall in Chennai now it is not good and they are not maintaining it good
