Lovely place and very relaxing. If you live in Cardiff, you can get a Castle Key for 3 years unlimited entrance. Relaxing on the castle grounds is perfect.

I look back at my first time I visited Cardiff Castle and it's grounds. If you think that the grounds really don't stretch back that far back, then I would just pay a visit. You will be shocked!
There is two rooms,first which have a 4 season draws on the wall and ceiling with Astronomy (Horoscope) , the second room was drawn a stories of beauty and beast,peter pan, ali baba etc....
£12.50 to get in, but gorgeous vires, amazing Castle apartments , and hours of walking about. Go on a sunny day and be amazed!
Very interesting story. The castle is well maintained and you get to have stunning views ones you reach the top of the main building.
Overlooking the hard working students of Cardiff is this Medieval castle . The original motte and bailey castle was built in the late 11th century by Norman invaders on top of a 3rd-century Roman fort.

The grounds are beautiful and the castle itself is a wonderful example of Norman castle building! It's a must visit while in Cardiff!
This is not a real castle , but rather a pseudo-medieval 200 year-old novelty, built on top of an ancient site. It is, however, a good place to learn a bit about the history of Cardiff.
We haven't been inside but walked around it, the castle park is beautiful!

Beautiful castle , beautiful rooms, beautiful view , but you have to pay extra to see a lot of things. It's kinda pricey ... Probably too much.

Locals can get a free key to the Castle for entry to ground for most of the time, except some special events . Don't lose it, it costs £5 to replace!

The castle grounds are perfect for basking in the sun on lunch breaks. However, beware: you won't want to go back to work!!
Remember to visit the Castle Apartment located at the left side of the Norman Keep.

Go right to the top of the Keep for stunning views across Cardiff and the valleys beyond.
Literally 2000 years of history slapping you in the face... Really worth a visit !
