Definitely come during Hanukkah if you want a fun experience with friends or family. We brought our own Menorah and sat and enjoyed for hours. The latkes cannot be missed!
This 1954 kosher Jewish deli remains 1 of NYC's oldest greats & serves a lean mean pastrami sandwich ! 1 sammie's enough for 2: get xtra side of rye & top w/ their FREE coleslaw to make it extra tasty!
Happy 4 late-nite drinks+Pelmenis & Pierogies (no pastrami sliders on the menu!) @ UES 2nd Ave Deli’s NEW 2ND FLOOR BAR ! Open Sun-Thur 5pm–midnite; Fri-Sat 5pm–2am. Entry on E 75th St (1st/York Ave).
The matzah ball soup is great! Get the half sandwich and half soup combo (same size as the regular soup ) and try the challah french toast !
Kosher delis are prime spots for soothing comfort food pangs, with those pastrami sandwiches and corned beef on rye . But for an intestinal itch you really can't scratch, try their tuna salad sandwich . Read more
I love their consommé soup with kasha. 2nd Ave Deli is the closest I can find to Ukrainian food on UES. Plus, helps me when I'm sick. Yummy comfort food . ????
They have old school stacked hi corned beef , pickes, cole slaw and they even have beer on tap !
Matzah ball soup fair . I enjoyed the turkey and chopped liver sandwich . This is their 2nd location near the Metropolitan Art Museum .
Very expensive compared to most Jewish delicatessens . Food is good; service is excellent. Prices and portion sizes could be better!
Good kosher food ... but at a price. $50 for soup , sandwich , and a soda (including tax and tip.)
Proper Jewish deli on he upper east side. The triple decker are. Huuuuge
Great pastrami sandwich
triple decker sandwich . biggest one ive had and preferred to katz. I love it deli meats with mustard
I understand it's NYC and the upper eastside as well as it being Glatt Kosher but $35 for Matzo ball soup (no chicken pieces just broth, some small noodles and carrots ) and latkes ?! Never again.
Triple Decker #3 with pastrami , tongue and salami on rye is killer, and huge. You're a champ if you eat it alone.
Great corned beef sandwiches . The best place for an expensive nosh . The half-sour pickles are awesome.
Good dining experience. Pierogi was good, they give you a shot of chocolate soda after the meal, real nice touch.
Matzo ball soup for sure, abs the soup half sandwich combo is a great deal!
How do I count the ways: pickles , matzo ball soup , latkes w/applesauce. Go big and then go home to take a nap!
The chopped liver is terrific, order it as an appetizer and pile it on the challah bread that comes to the table...
Amazing sandwiches . Get the pastrami
Authentic food but incredibly pricey . For $16.95, I think I need to find another place that makes a mean pastrami on rye ...
Really like the Matzah Brie ! Sugar is always the best topping.
This place isn't cheap but it is worth every penny. Simply delicious.
Is there crack in the mushroom and barley? It's addictive! Wear your fat pants.
Brooklyn lager , hot pastrami , spicy mustard .
Extra-lean pastrami , full sours, brown mustard . Never deviate from perfection.
Delicious and worth the extra few bucks. Half soup and sandwich is where it's at
can't get enough health salad . and the meatball appetizer with egg barley is a favorite.
Pastrami sandwich . Amazing!! The pickles are super sour and also really good!
Matzah ball soup and pastrami on rye .. true goodness!
Huge portions , expect to take some home... love the complimentary pickles + cabbage on table
This is the 2nd outpost of this famous NYC institution.... great food. Great people watching . Read more
Best chopped chicken liver , ever!!
Don't eat all day and load up on pastrami , knishes, and matzoh ball soup
The sandwiches are SO big. Instead, do the soup and half sandwich special, it's plenty
On the pricey side (college student ) but good food
Try the Kasha And Varnishkes - The best kasha in town
Best matzoh ball soup in New York!
Beautiful place. Plenty of room. Not cramped like the spot on 33rd street.
Really good food. Lousy service. Order takeout and save yourself the pain.
