Its undergone (and still undergoing) significant upgrade since our last visit 5yrs ago - looks like they are investing heavily; it's looking really good and expanding in size. Well worth a visit.
The zoo is great to get close to the animals and all enclosures are open enough for you to clearly see animals. The only downside to the zoo is that it is quite small in comparison to Chester zoo .
A great day out with family lots to see, family of 4 only £12 full day to keep kids busy during the summer holidays, souvenir shops are quite pricey but that's what you'd expect. ☆☆☆☆☆
Great conservation place and one of the best in the country . Good to see Polar Bears and they also have endangered Amur Tigers & Leopards. Annual ticket worthwhile and experience days available.
This place just keeps getting better. With everything from polar bears to ant eaters, all really well looked after. You can't not visit. Look out for the events all year round. Brilliant place
So many wonderful animals. The polar bears really love their enclosure , it was a joy to watch them playing. Lovely place, animals very well cared for. (Roanna Carleton Taylor)
Sucu a lovely peaceful walk and animals look Really happy to be there, strongly recommended to go,have a little picnic even
Nice little zoo . Has a good collection of animals. Children have 3 play areas , petting and animal feeding areas. The entry is 14.5 pounds for adults and 11.5 for kids. This is really steep.
Tiger, leopard, giraffe, wallabies , zebra, lions and topped off with silent (don't scare the animals fireworks ). Pretty awesome day, recommend it.
Chicken wings are great so are the hotdogs , and animals are so well looked after one if best parks around
Amazing place. Close encounter experiences. Cuddle the wallabies . Up close with monkeys. Everything is amazing!
Excellent values, takes several hours to look around and costs about £15. Great lion collection, the pride of Yorkshire !
It may have the "pride of south yorkshire", but there's a whole lot more to see. YWP keeps expanding, and getting bigger & better. There's the Amur Tigers now, and the South American !VIVA!, and in th
Look out for the summer safari nights - stays open till 9pm and the nocturnal animals he more lively
A great day out for all ages. Seeing the lemurs up close and personal is a definite must do!
Had an absolutely amazing day here. Been back twice and planning to go again. Love it!
Fab couple of hours out. If you plan on coming more than twice per year, save yourself some money and get an annual pass
Book your tickets at least a day before you go and get 20% off food and drink in the park .
If you own a pair of binoculars , take them, it can improve your view no end when animals are in the far end of their enclosure .
What a great place. Happy animals, well kept holding areas. The Lemurs are well curious and you walk amongst them. Easy access for push chairs. Not at all depressing like most zoo'z.
Baboons not playing on their climbing frame? .. Go to the window at the back of the indoor kids play area .
If you are relatively near by car the annual pass is good value . I've had two so far.
Lovely zoo . Many of the animals have a back story. The lions used to play for Milwall
During the refurbishments, be sure to check out the iron Giraffes.
Bring a picnic and have lunch at a bench on the way round
This tree house play area is just amazing!
Spacious and a real surprise! A wonderful day out.
Plenty of places to get refreshments and stop to rest. Loved it
A squirrel playing the furry knuckles shuffle & 1 donkey making the other donkey pant & tongue stick out. Forget the lions !
Visit Polar Experience more than once for a chance to see the bears swimming .
Totally awesome! Cant wait to go back in spring to see the bears !
Season ticket and fast track tickets holders can avoid the queues by nipping through the shop. Saved us a good 20 queue today
Lions , polar bears , meerkats, leopards.
Don't forget to visit the wallabies and up close and personal :)
Fab attraction nut make sure you have the directions nailed before you set off. Our sat nav took us to a pedestrian only entrance!
The slides are fun for kids and adults alike :)
A fantastic place for the young and old
Take your time - lots to see
Kids meals are £4.75 which is a bit steep. Park is great and always improving and growing
For the young and old alike.
Spend some time watching the rescued lions basking in the sun - amazing to see the big cats happy in their new home!
Bring some food with you. The hot dogs were £3.95 each, so I dread to think how much the cafe charges for a meal!
Discount coupons available for download: one child admitted free with every two adults (GBP 8 value) -- better than the family ticket!
Brilliant day out.
Capybara is a must see!
BRILLIANT ????
Access to the camels is limited. The camels look mildly unamused by this arrangement.
Watch out for autumn 2012 Giraffes are coming
