Fantastic place. Great view to the bridge and interesting stories regarding Fort Point
Notice the greenish rock near the entrance. This is serpentinite—California’s state rock—which likely came from deep within the earth’s interior. This rock holds up the south tower of the GG Bridge .
I love going up to the roof under the bridge and enjoying the view .
From the right side of the parking area, there is a great vantage of the Golden Gate Bridge . Get low and try to capture one of the rusty chains in the foreground with the bridge in the background.
This Civil War fort offers a unique view from directly underneath the bridge . The intricate girders contrast with the historic brickwork. Shoot in the late afternoon from the top level.
