Had Saturday brunch here complete with mimosas -- SO good! In my opinion, I like it even better than when it was just Tea Room .
This lovely restaurant s now called River House and the new owners and Chef are outstanding!! Everything is excellent but their 5 Cheddar Burger IS OUTSTANDING. I RECOMMEND river House highly.
The Vegetarian Sandwhich is very fresh and delicious! Try the Plum Iced Tea too! The place was packed and there was a wait for lunch ! A sign that this is a great place to dine.
Delicous pumpkin soup , chicken fried steak , quesadillas , any sandwich with fried cheese ... Just trust me :)

It’s called something else, but same spot. Bland food, and took almost 2 hours to get one appetizer and one entree for 2 people at a Sunday brunch , which wasn’t busy. go back to being a tea house.

ice cream on a hot day is great, fudge is really good also. a bit crowded but they have lots of cute novelty items and things to buy. I always go when I'm in Gruene. - andria chapman
