Yummy smoothies (strawberry is my fav), delish crepes on the weekends (banana Nutella ). And just discovered salty oats cookie - also a win. Great customer service by knowledgeable people :)
Great coffee - had a delicious cafe au lait - and the pastries are good too. Small place so seats fill up fast. Get there early and stake out yr spot!
Bring your Starbucks coffee cup in here and you will politely be given a choice: Allow them to replace your coffee with an inarguably superior coffee OR pour your coffee into a George Howell cup.
Great coffee , great food, great staff and even WiFi to boot. This place rocks!
Yes, there is a SBUX around the corner. I carry a Gold Card. But the coffee here is so superior. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
The original George Howell Coffee shop , charming and calm with obviously great coffee
Try a latte to stay. The ceramic mugs make it a different experience. Enjoy every sip.
Great decaf drip! And only $1 per refill. You can sit for hours.
They stopped taking LevelUp This is unfortunate, but more of a commentary on the total inability for LevelUp to market themselves. A great payment system, but niche of the niche.
Best coffee in the area but you may want to avoid if hurried as they do not handle peak hours very well .
Great selection of coffee both on menu and bagged. Fantastic.
These guys still make the best damn cortado in town
This has great coffee and espresso , plus WiFi !!! Amazing service!!!!!!!!
Great selection and knowledgeable staff . Love this place.
Great place to enjoy a gluten-free pastry and a well-made cup of coffee .
Get a cortado with almond milk . Delish!
Espresso drink was only ok. Great service and store is cute .
Espresso drinks . Actually— everything is good :).
Get the cappuccino ! Sometimes they will make a little heart for you )))
Way better than Taste. Best coffee in Newton.
A proper cortado can be had here
No power outlets . Fairly inconsistent wifi . Very nice coffee but all lighter roast.
Great coffee ($1 refills) and the best breakfast sandwiches .
A little nuttier tasting than I care for but not bad. Not sure it's worth the hype or a long wait though. Small place.
The best coffee in Boston (the world?).
Nice little place with good coffee
Easily beats the Starbucks around the corner!
The lavender latte is tasty.
Single origin espresso is amazing!
Homemade pop tarts and yummy smoothies ! And wifi !
Excellent cortado .
Grab a latte and more from George Howell Coffee Cafe in Newtonville.
Espresso , egg sandwich
Amazing coffee !!!
Get the undertow!
Where the hardcore coffee drinkers go.
Newton coffee oasis.
Cute little coffee shop with great espresso drinks and wifi . I like sitting at the bar counter
Fantastic coffee , horrendous service. They mess up food orders more than they get them right. Grab java at George Howell then go across the street to Bread and Chocolate or Great Harvest for food.
Cappuccino
Good but overpriced. $6 for a pour over is crazy
Amazing food and a large quantity as well! Try the meatballs in marinara sauce... to die for! - Gil G ⚡
Plain frozen yogurt with Oreo and Almonds!! You have to try it. Super friendly Staff. - Elias Papadopoulos
Their acai bowels are the best around - generous portions with fresh fruit and fixings. - Stephanie Orme
The prepared foods section is always fresh and always delicious. Salads, mac and cheese, pizza slices, mashed potatoes, deli sandwiches - it's all there. - Cori Henderson
So much better after the renovations. It is now cleaner, brighter, better organized, and liquor is available (but only at certain times depending on the day). - Tainah M.
