In the historic SW corner of the Cotswolds, high above Stroud on the wilds of Rodborough Common, stands the handsome Bear of Rodborough Hotel. Originally built in the 17th century, this former coaching inn provided a much appreciated resting-place on the main coaching route from Gloucester to London

Don't get scared by the bears , they're long time dead and stuffed!
Don't bother on a warm evening. Has been overrun by children with the outdoor bar on the old croquet pitch and you can't get served if you go indoors to avoid the screeching kids.
Great food. The club sandwich is increadible.
