Great concert venue . Best place is on left stairs as you are under the air-conditioner and you have the best view without being slammed by other people & you can still dance .

My favourite live music venue in Sydney - perfect size + conveniently located near public transport . At sold-out shows, arrive before the support act for a good spot on the steps.

Great place to see bands. Get in the thick of it down the front, or a bit more relaxed in the raised sections

The balance of free space where you can talk and crazy mosh pits in front of the stage me this a great gig place. Can go untill very late (4am+).

If going to a gig here & don't want to go home, stay at metro hotel on Pitt just around the corner. Similar names but different companies but both great choices for a top night

The sound engineers are terrible at the metro & drinks are expensive . Steps are the best for a good view and space.

Great venue but seriously the stickiest carpets I've encountered since uni bar . Dancing in my shoes !

After seven years and countless shows, this venue is just as bad as it has always been. Shit sound, crappy beer , more people than space, and you still don't get your ticket stub back after the show.

Complimentary epileptic fit with whatever show you're seeing.

It's a good location being close to Town Hall and buses on George Street however be prepared to be out of the Metro at around 11-11:30 or possibly even 12 (happened when I saw Karnivool there.)

Buy your drinks upstairs, the bar staff always seem nicer and the fridge 's work! Warm Stella at top end prices is rough.

There's a McDonalds right next door, a Hungry Jacks in front of the cinemas and a KFC 2 minutes away. Good if you want to get junk food.

Doesn't matter where you stand, you can see the band from ANYWHERE.
