This is one of the only independent coffee shops on this whole island that is doing it right. A no nonsense menu of consistently great drinks.
Delicious coffee with a minimalist menu. My favorite is their unique Maple Latte which reminds me of autumn in Vermont every time. Southdown seats 16-20 people comfortably, crowded Sat/Sun afternoons
I’ve been to a bunch of “coffee ” shops on LI and Southdown is hands-down the best coffee on the island . Well-brewed, delicious and the shops have a great atmosphere.

Went today with our two dogs. It was a nice walk on the grounds and were able to go down a trail to the LI Sound. Would recommend to anyone with a dog, but must keep on leash. It's a nice place to go. - Michele Dowling
