May's Kafe is a coffee shop Bukit Timah located in Singapore.
B1, Beauty World Centre (144 Upper Bukit Timah Road) Singapore
Mee rebus $4.80. Gravy is the watery style, just like the old days. Not overly savoury. If you enjoy it spicy or more sour, ask for extra cut green chilli and/or lime as you collect your bowl
Extensive toast menu. Beside traditional spread of butter+kaya, there’s also cheese , peanut butter , chicken floss, honey+butter, ham+eggs, even Nutella !
This place has quite a lot of seating for you to meet, chat & linger, which is their value proposition. Large teh peng had the usual tannic taste. It was not too dilute.
Kaya toast set ($5.20). Their toasted bread feels slightly rough inside the mouth, unlike Ya Kun or Killiney. Still, decent toasts & soft-boiled eggs
Their canned/bottled drink options are displayed on a shelf right in front of the kopi brewing corner. Prices between $1.60 - $2
Drinks menu & pricing. They also offer homemade barley, lemon tea & soursop drink
Mee Siam soup $4. Enjoyed their version here as it’s not excessively sweet nor spicy . Also available as dried version
Located at level B1 of Beauty World Centre, with seating spread out around the concourse
Kaya toast was decent. The Kaya was thinly spread, but it was very flavourful so it worked. The bread was a little over toasted & had been left aside, so it was not warm.
Kaya toast is so sweet that you can feel one or two sweetened tooth for aftertaste even after washing it down with your drink. Any siew dai kaya toast ?

Really strong kopi and their meal sets are quite value for money .
Additional seating just around the corner, at another shop house. Not big, only 4 tables. The rest of the space appears to be storage
Always so crowded . Nice coffee and tea
Kopi was average. Despite test order of kopi-O kosong ‘di lok’ (undiluted), cuppa lacked flavour & aroma
Bad times. Mee rebus nowadays few tau kwa & tau gek until can count. For $4, not worth it.
