When crowded with surfers, head to Beach 66th (either walk the boardwalk or take the Q23). Great rights and lefts anywhere between the jetties parallel to Beach 68th thru Beach 59th.
Head to Beach 66th thru 59th if 91st is crowded . BE CAREFUL! As you walk toward the 50's, you get closer to the projects. GO WITH FRIENDS! LEAVE NOTHING ON THE BEACH !

Crowded but great vibes and a vibrant colorful place for coffee juices or drinks on the side - Evi
A 10-mile bike ride from my place and totally worth it. Uphill going back into Brooklyn though. The smaller snack shack past the bathrooms has craft beer, Ample Hill ice cream, and empty picnic tables - Sarah Spagnolo
Always a good time. Favorite burger in Rockaway. Fries very good too. Tasty Micheladas to chill out, boozy Beach Juice to get crazy. Nice mix on the radio playlists and a relaxing atmosphere. - Jane O'Donnell
Cheap & delicious tacos ($3) & other great food served in the patio out back. Bar has strong cocktails and lots of standing room. Try the fresh juices if you want something non-alcoholic. CASH ONLY - Kathy Matthiesen
Portobello Mushroom Burger is best I have ever had. Love their garlic fries too. Great outdoor space. Here every summer weekend. - Jacqueline Tabarus-Messina
