It’s impossible to understate what DC has here. World class Szechuan food . You have to try the popcorn chicken you have to try the Szechuan cold noodles , you have to try the lamb hamburger .
The fire pot soup had great flavor! Also had dan dan and chengdu- all very SPICEY and good! Not for people who don't do well with hot spice. Was not impressed with cumin lamb . Will def go again!
Tyler Cowen says this is the best Chinese restaurant Washington DC has had, ever. He says to order the Shaanxi noodles , Dan Dan noodles & cold Chengdu spicy noodles off the secret Chinese menus. Read more
Dan Dan Noodles , Cumin Lamb , and Hot Dry Spicy Fried Chicken are our go to favorites. Fish in spicy black bean sauce is also amazing but quite a large serve for two.
Panda Gourmet is a D.C. staple, tucked away right by a Days Inn , a gas station and a bunch of parking lots . The food is truly amazing, and so are the prices.
Best Szechuan in the city limits. Can't go wrong with any of the noodles , and the fish filet with silken tofu in hot chili sauce has an amazing flavor.
The spicy Cumin-Beef Rouga Mo, known as a Chinese hamburger , is a classic street food staple of the Shaanxi Province of China.
The lamb with cumin is dry-fried and served under a forest of cilantro , chilis, fat slices of garlic and bell pepper . Read more
The fiery Dan Dan Noodles made with crumbled pork and scallions are a must-try dish here!
Skip the dumplings , get the wontons and Dan Dan noodles , and don't leave without the cumin lamb .
The hand-pulled Shaanxi noodles are something you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.
The mouth-numbingly delicious Ma Po Tofu is the best in the DC region.
Ma Po Tofu lived up to its reputation! Cumin lamb was a bit much for me tho. That said, service was shitty. We were 1/2 couples in the whole restaurant and the staff was mostly nowhere to be found.
I've liked everything I've tried in three visits here. Today's surprise? Sesame Liang Pi. And maybe the best Ma Po Tofu in town .
Best Chinese in dc also best Chinese in dc and in a motel
Great food, request spicy : fish soup/Shanxi noodles/lamb kabobs all great! No joke, potentially the best Sichuan in DC
Best Chinese food in the city hands down. Better than Great Wall. Go for the mapo tofu .
Ma po tofu , definitely, and every noodle dish is going to be good. Servers not shy about their favorites.
Great Szechuan food in DC. Try the Ma Po Tofu and the cold noodles .
Amazing food. The spicy pots and dan dan noodles were especially delicious.
Everything is delicious!
This place is the real freakin deal. Get the Rouge Mo.
Their noodle dishes are the best!
Dan Dan Noodles are AMAZING!!!
Wonton soup was the stuff of dreams
The Washington Post had me fired up..but it disappointed.
Pork hamburger was okay, but nothing special. Hand-pulled shanxi noodles , however, were fantastic!
Not your average Chinese joint.
Fire pots very greasy.
That shit is pure nasty!!!!
Ma Po tofu
