Sandwich with fries , why not? Amazing combination of the foods. The sandwich size is so huuuuge, you might consider sharing half with a friend. The Primanti Bros. has become a symbol of PA.
There is no going wrong here. Typically, you get the Pittsburgher with an Iron City . I prefer Budweiser , but Primantis is a Pittsburgh classic. I've never had a bad meal here. Amazing chili as well .
Dripping with a 1930's feel this old school establishment is definitely worth a visit. Quick service when u get in . Unique sandwiches that hit the spot. Visit this location the original.
This was my first time visiting Pittsburgh so I wanted to get the authentic experience! I ordered the Pittsburgh and it was great! Plus awesome service--my waitress was super friendly and welcoming!
Any of the sandwiches are great. We had steak and cheese , ham and cheese , fish and Cajun chicken sandwiches . Lots of fries and coleslaw . You won’t leave hungry
Win, win, win!! Pastrami sandwich was awesome and the local Iron City Beer was great with it! First time through the city and only here for an hour. I want to come back!
Love the pastrami and steak sandwiches . Slaw is amazing vinegar and sugar base. Huge but too good not to eat every bite!! Go to at strip and walk it off afterward visiting all the shops.
Surprisingly good capicola and cheese . Very large sandwiches . Super affordable . No plates or silverware. Classic PGH interior with fun quirky service.
Sandwiches are decent. Not so generous with their meats. Sandwiches are primarily made up of the fillers- slaw , fries and tomato . Sandwich bread if fresh and tasty and the fries are homemade and crisp
I had the Pastrami and Cheese . Good but I wish it had some sort of sauce on it to give it more flavor. The fries were good! I think I would try a sandwich with an egg on it to give it more flavor.
I had the ham sandwich . What can I say, the sandwich is absolutely delicious and disgusting at time. It's with white bread , squished with fries and slaw . I couldn't finish mine.
Do not be discouraged by the long lines ! It moves fast and the food is amazing! Had the roast beef & cheese . Sooo good. Must visit if you find yourself in Pittsburgh.
If you like sandwiches and burgers which come with fries and slaw , this is the place. Just know that the fries and slaw are on the sandwich , not the plate. This is roll up your sleeves food.
I get the tradition, but the corned beef was delicious - I felt it was kind of diluted by the fries and coleslaw on the sandwich . If I went again, might ask to separate. Even if that is blasphemous.
In the 1930s, working-class men didn’t have time to eat their sides, so Primanti Brothers put the coleslaw & fries in their sandwiches - and a legend was born! Seen on Food Paradise. Read more
A must visit to this legendary place. All the sandwiches are awesome!
I have never had a better sandwich and I am a sandwich lover for sure! Will definitely come back!
worth it to go once or twice on your trip but not a end all be all amazing sandwich , plus they arent really that filling. I ate two and i was just full. no self respecting gut buster should allow that
If your in the mood for a primanti sandwitch the strip district location make the best one with the southside location coming in second
Great for a late night snack . The turkey and cheese sandwich was good with some extra fries on the side.
Great piece of Pittsburgh folklore. Went to original location as well as PNC park . The sandwich at the ballpark was just as good as the restaurant ...pleasant surprise.
Ask for extra bacon , always. Even if your sandwich already has it. Ask for more. Its delicious.
Because your in Pittsburgh and it's pretty much a requirement. Plus, this is the original location. Choose a classic sandwich or try the chili cheese fries , their perfect on a rainy day.
Always delicious and amazing. Tried the colossal fish last night. Needed some dressing . The slaw didn't wet it enough for me.
Beautifully sloppy and greasy sandwiches . Really? Can anything be better? I am going to have to try it with egg and hot sauce next time.
The place for foodies to go when it Pittsburgh. The corned beef and cheese with an egg on top is my favorite. Definitely worth waiting in line .
The classic Pittsburgh sandwich with burgers and coleslaw on the sandwich was created here, and you can't come to town without at least one stop to Primanti's.- Jonathan, Marketing Coordinator
My first time there, just moved to Pittsburgh too, and it was incredible! Everything I had heard... It was all I could have hoped and wishes for!
Cheap greasy sandwiched . Fries & Cole slaw come on the sandwich but I like fries on the side. A Pittsburgh institution. Multiple locations. ???? ????
The original never gets old. I would recommend having a beer even if you are there for early lunch . Great sandwiches .
Best sandwich in Pittsburgh! Old school place. Have to order the Pitts-burgher! The slaw on the sandwich is amazing! And the bread is fresh Italian bread !
A definite must visit when in Pittsburgh. Great sandwiches . Friendly staff . Free parking .
Went there with my wife our first night in Pittsburgh. Can't really go wrong with a sandwich with everything on it, including fries . -Dustin Miller, Nuclear Cowboyz
This "almost famous" restaurant has an interesting sandwich menu, and all sandwiches are topped with french fries and cole slaw . Try the popular Pittsburgher cheese steak .
Better know what you want when it comes time to order. No muckin about. Sandwich choice, onions or not, slaw or not. Wham bam thank you ma'am! Oh yeah, CASH ONLY Bro.
Ate the angus steak and it was awesome! Best sandwich and fries I have ever eaten. Everyone should try at least once
If you're a virgin, get the pastrami or the kielbasa . If this is your second time, add an egg . And whatever you do, be sure to wash it all down with an Iron City beer .
Known for the sandwiches served with fries and many other fixings! As seen on Travel Channel’s Man v. Food Nation.
The chili cheese fries are totally out of this world! Just the right amount of cheese and chili ... Not too spicy , just right. Yummy!
The one must-stop when visiting Pittsburgh. They have many locations now, but the original is the one to go to first.
The iconic Pittsburgh sandwich complete with fries and coleslaw . I like sweet sausage and add hot sauce .
Super busy. Open 24/7. Delicious but probably heart attack food.
Primanti Brothers doesn’t disappoint, they live up to their hype. Good food, large portions , waiters don’t write anything down, and don’t make mistakes. Need to go there once.
Pastrami with fries and slaw hit the spot. Great service. Super friendly .
get luke-warm water with your meal, your stomach physiologically can digest better, the gorge of fat, meat, and bread that will be down there after your meal.
This is the only Primanti Bros. you should eat at. Sandwiches are just better here at the original.

Do not leave Pittsburgh without eating here, the Black Angus Seroin Strip is possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. Also try the Smallman Street Fries , they are bangin.
Capicola & Cheese is a great "first-time" sandwich . Did I mention that french fries are big here? Bring cash, they no a take-a the credit card.
I like to switch it up and get the cornbeef with the cajun chicken REALLY GOOD
Oh my goodness, the subs are outstanding. The bread is so good and toasted to perfection! - Ashley Barnes
Make sure you try something from the craft beer stand. They are all delicious and there's a good variety to try. - Kevin Vincent
The fresh-made egg pasta, available at check-out, is the greatest pasta I've ever had. Cheese selection is amazing too. - Matthew Forbes
Come here every time I’m in town. My kids love it. It’s cheap and good. You will not be disappointed!!! - Burley Smith
