De Kastart

The portions here are VERY generous. Small is more than enough for one hungry person, and one large would easily feed 3 people. Service is friendly and it's seriously good value for money .

Those who expect to eat real Italian cuisine shouldn't eat here, the Spaghetti Kastart is cappellini with a very creamy bolognese sauce . I like it and sometimes crave for it. Some really dislike it.

Great place for a quick snack . Very popular with students. Very crowded , don't come here for a nice long dinner . The spaghetti Kastart is their best dish!

Go for the "Kastart" Spaghetti . Very busy but quite cosy. You can take away the sauce as well . Delicious!

Their Spaghetti Kastart is famous among students. A small portion is enough. Take away sauce only if you're on a budget. NOT suited for long and cosy dinners , way too crowded . Eat-and-leave attitude.

I understand why ppl like this place, but the food here has no similarity to Italian pasta - cheap vermicelli with fatty sauce and cheap cheese , portions r huge, service is not particularly friendly .

Usually overcrowded, this place is a hype in Ghent, certainly among students. The most favorite dish is spaghetti Kastart , which would not be classified as a spaghetti at all by Italian standards.

Atmosphere is good. Restaurant was so busy but service quick. Tagliatelle pasta was delicious but sauce too much. Pasta were swimming in the sauce. Anyhow taste was nice.

Wasn't a fan. Canteen feel, cash only and big bowls of some kind of cheap noodles . Kastart was too sweet and the pesto was mostly parsley , not basil .
