Courtyard by Marriott Newark Downtown

Really enjoyed my stay. My room was clean , comfortable , and spacious , the WiFi was fast, and every employee I encountered was friendly and courteous. Very convenient to the Prudential Center , too!

Beautiful hotel in a great area next to Prudential Center , 3 minutes from Newark Bears Stadium and a hop and skip from Ironbounds Restaurant district. Must come and see the New Newark.

If you get here at night and there's an event at Pru Center, you won't be allowed to park your car. Just drive around until an hour after the event ends. In other words, go fuck yourself. Real nice.

Friendly staff and parking is attached to the Hockey Arena but ask for a room not facing the street. The music booms from the cars out front when they stop at the light. Grrrr

The cleanest and newest hotel you can stay at in Newark. The managers are really nice and friendly . Note to business travelers: stay here over the Hilton ! (However no lounge/no room service ).

Standard new Courtyard . Great, nice staff . I've been told by locals to avoid the intersection of Broad and Market on foot due to a high number of people there waiting for busses.

Great hotel for the location, especially if you want to go into NY city and not pay a arm and a leg to stay somewhere.

The only convenient thing is that you have the Prudential Center right next door. Parking will cost you $21. There are no bars nearby, which is a bummer.

Get a strawberry smoothie - no banana no vanilla pumps and with honey . Healthy and tasty - they use real strawberries !

I did NOT feel safe as a young woman traveling alone. Men at the nearby bus stops harassed me as I walked from Penn Station, and the security guard allows loitering at the entrance. Stay at the Hilton

This hotel is now opened. Spacious lobby, friendly staff .

Neighborhood not so nice.. Streets are deserted by 7 pm. Be prepared to get holed up in the hotel . Would not recommend wandering the streets at night.

Not the best location for finding things to do, decent enough when you need to catch a flight the next day

Unfortunately I have to update my tip... There have been definite cases of bed bugs here on 7th floor....
