An absolute hidden gem in Missouri, which is definitely a land locked state ! Little beach areas available, sand volleyball , kayaks for rent, and of course beautiful trails all along the lake !
Kayak rentals: 10 bucks an hour. When it's nice outside, this is very pleasant. It's a big lake , you can get out pretty far. 10/10 would recommend.
Some of the best running and biking trails in the region. The fact that it connects to the Katy Trail also gives even more options no matter how short or far you wish to go.
Take your dog for a walk and let them splash around in the water!
