It looks like a typical Hainanese joint but the "mun fan " specialty and its way of preparing the pork chop (minced like a patty then breaded & fried) set it apart . The pork chop is delicious.
If this is your first time here, the "Mun Fann" or Braised Rice with either Pork version or Seafood version is a must try. You can also order normal Chinese dishes for lunch and dinner .
Good food at affordable price . Service was quick too. Great 1st impression. Will definitely come back again. Hours of ops: 12pm-2.15pm, & 6pm-9.15pm. Went around 1pm on Sunday. Busy but not packed.
Singapore Fried Beehoon was succulent, even w/o the typical ingredient BBQ pork . There's a slight hint of Worcestershire sauce which we thought enhanced the flavor. Smelled great2 when it arrived hot.
Located along Brickfields, this restaurant has been around for more than 30 years. Their signature dish is the Chicken Chop but I would recommend the "Mun Fan " (Braised Rice with meat and vegetables ).
Their food are delicious.. I tried the ginger chicken..the portion was big.. also their sweet and sour pork rice taste great too... Reasonable price! Worth trying ????
Maybe it's comfort food for some but it's quite strange to be served a dish with an upside down bowl covering it. Mun Fun (焖饭) is indeed unique but next time will try the Hainanese porkchop instead.
The fried onion chicken dish was superb! Onion rings and fried chicken in a garlic infused plum sauce . Very appetizing !
Sin Kee steamed rice , fried rice , chicken and pork chop are the bomb!
The signature steamed rice (man fan ) is a must try - RM10. Avoid lunch hours as the wait for ur meal is around 30-40minutes. Rather huge portion , 2 person could share the meal.
Love their Pork Chop ???? big green leans and kidney beans yum yum!
Must try their mun fan , sambal squid and deep fried fish ! Their hainanese pork chop is famous too but the taste is only so-so. Price is very reasonable.
Pork belly is tender and delicious! Fried fish is nice. Overall clean and great value for money .
mun fan 焖饭 here is my favourite! lots of pork , squird, chinese sausage . drooling. price nvr change for many years!
The Hainanse Chicken chop is fried to crisp perfection! But the hainanese sauce is a little tasteless though... I advise to come in a small group to avoid waiting very long for a table.
Mun Fan or Steam Rice as they called it was disappointing. Maybe we had high expectation after reading the rave reviews, the dish just wasn't right for us. Plus pt:huge portion w/ lots of ingredients.
Good simple and unpretentious establishment. Hainanese goodness. Try Mun fan and the Assam fish . Chicken chop looks good. Will try that next.
The "steamed" rice , onion rings and fried chicken and the prawn sambal are the best!!!
Other than their famous chicken chop and braised rice , try their fried rice too - generous with ingredients!
A lot of pork slices , squids , lap cheongs... Feeling so satisfied. Chicken chop is fairly good too!
Mun fun is the best, u can't get this 30-year-old recipe elsewhere. Customer has to endure the arrogance of the shop owner from young to old.
Big portion of Fish & chips ! Yummy!!
Try the signature steamed rice , butter chicken , hainanese chicken chop , fried pomfret and stewed spare ribs with potatoes .
The nam yee pork ribs is awesome! They use red nam yee instead of white nam yee so it's not salty..they use lean pork ribs too!
I suppose it depends on your personal tastes (or love for south chinese cuisine ) but I found neither the chicken chop nor the mun fan to be particularly memorable meals. They are quite cheap though.
Food are awesome. Especially the mun fan & chicken chop . Price are cheap too
Butter chicken is creamy and delightful. Had to share table with a couple which was awkward. Ask for your table number and pay at the counter.
Sweet potato leaf stir fried with spicy belacan is not bad. RM13 for this portion.
Pork chop is good. Much better than those popular hainanese restaurants in town .
Spoke too soon. Fish & chip although is still juicy, it missed certain flavour to it. No proper sauce to match it too.
Super crowded but wonder why. I ordered the 2 signatures, steam rice and Hainanese. Both so so, I would say, this is my 1st and last.
The pork chop tastes like warm, fuzzy childhood memories. Mmmm! Simple, quick and good.
The food is great with reasonable price! Must try the steam rice !
I think this place is overrated. Hainanese chicken chop using minced chicken . Gravy rice was so-so. Service was not so nice. Honestly prefer Yut Kee still.
Second time to come here. Really miss the Mun Fan , looks nothing special but the taste is really good. May come at Sunday 12pm, seem not much ppl. While weekday a lot ppl.
The deep fried grass carp (belly) is excellent. Other specialties include the mun fan 闷饭 (braised rice with chinese sausages )and their noodle dishes .
Steam rice is really worth eating! Just order it if you are hungry ;)
The Hainanese Chicken Chop is better than Yut Kee's as dish is prepared only when ordered. What's unique is they used ground meat instead of whole thigh. Batter is light. Brown sauce is flavorful.????????
All dishes/ meals are above RM10. Even a bowl of soup is minimum RM10. However, serving portion is rather huge. Desserts are below RM10.
焖饭very nice, the portion just nice for two person sharing
Nam yu pork is good
Authentic cooking. Taste Good.
Mun fan is not bad. Very unique. Service is friendly but a bit slow.
Idk if the fact that we ordered takeaway ..but The talked about fried mee hoon was so-so only imo ..mun fan/chops >>>>fried mee hoon ... or is it thr Singapore fried mee hoon that's the talked abt one?
The twins wait staff , making the restaurant so exciting. Will be wondering who to chase the order as they are identical! :)
Still the best Hainanese chicken chop ????
Best pork chop I ever had
There are actually two waiters (bit old), maybe they are twins. And they are generous! Escorting elderly people and all! Loving this place!!!
Price increased and service is terribad. Either the workers are deaf or tunnel vision all the way!
Delicious stew rice
roast pork is the bomb. chicken chop is not bad too @rm8. will come back to try their pork buns. - jwön
Simply phenomenal beef noodles!! A must try for beef noodle lovers. Highly recommended. - Yuen Haw Hor
One of the best egg tart in kl!! It's mini egg tart with really crispy crust. Only RM0.90 each - noname
A great place to shop locally made and overseas branded (garden mall) under the one roof. More varieties of food choices from local hawker type and western reasonable price. Very crowded on weekend - Celeste
One of the best shopping experience I had in my shopping days as it's just a walking distance to another great shopping centre :) - Che Liang
