Miami Circle Park

A nationally significant archaeological site. In 2009 it was designated a National Historic Landmark by the U.S Dept. of the Interior. With 2000 years of human settlement dating back to the Tequesta .

The site preserves evidence of the complex and planned architecture unique to the Tequesta , including the Miami Circle feature, which is a 38-ft 11-m) circular footprint of a prehistoric structure .

Your dog is not permitted to roam free off your private property. When your dog is off your property, it must be leashed at all times. $150.00 fine an unsterilized dog $50.00 fine for sterilized dogs.

my family & I including my dogs were attacked by 2 dogs:a mix bulldog and a black lab with no leash . This park is suppose to be a park where dogs need to be on leash all the time. Please take action.

Archaeological excavations at the site uncovered components of the primary village of the Tequesta , one of the first Native North American groups encountered by Juan Ponce de León in 1513.

The Miami Circle was discovered in August/September, 1998, during routine archaeo-logical investigations conducted at the site of six low-rise, 1950-era apartment buildings.

In January 2009, Miami Circle was designated a National Historic Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior.
