Try Carbonade (Flemish stew ), it is one of the best meals I've ever had. You won't regret. Plus, ask for the special half cava-half sparkling wine drink.

It is a very old and traditional cafe close to the centre. The food menu for tourists can be limited but drinking options were immense.

Jacques Brel used to come here to drink a half and half .

Nice sitting-outside-and-having-a-drink spot. You even get a nice little bowl of crunchies. But no bar service .

Nice location for quick lunch stop during sightseeing. Nice interior in old style. The service was anyway slow and inattentive.

A mille lieues des attrape-touristes de l'Îlot Sacré, une authentique brasserie bruxelloise au charme préservé. Les toilettes à elles seules valent le détour! Service impeccable.
