Love love this place! Ambiance is amazing and staff is very friendly ! Brisket is so die for! Get the poblano pepper . The only thing that disappointed me was the price vs the size of the apps.

If you are a fan of well made drinks, exposed brick, and romantic lighting ; check this place out. P.s bartender is "Deaf Jew" from Pitch Perfect and hearing his one line will give you life.

Everything we had here was delicious! We had the Trout Almondine with a side of mashed potatoes and the Mizo Salmon . Very flavorful and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed every bite. Definitely coming back!

Pickle chips are quite good. The batter is flaky and less dense than the common breadcrumb batter. It stayed crispy , too!We also loved the Detox and Family Favorite salads .

For brunch , show up well before 3p (they won't put any brunch food orders in after)... but amazing food (esp the frito pie and bacon wrapped onion rings ) + quick, attentive and friendly service !!!

Midnight mojitos were awesome Standouts... Guacamole , Texan Chili , Bacon wrapped Onion Rings and Fries . Eclectic decor.

The spike hot chocolate was delicious. We started off with the mac and cheese but it was bland and only eighty warm. The ribs were chewy but the walnut salad was good. Only come for drinks.

Such beautiful decor and ambiance. Casual yet classy . Get the smoked old fashioned. It might be the best you have ever had !

The wings were great! The venue is large not sure if they do private events but I would highly consider it if they did. Great staff too!!

Great Austin atmosphere. Loved running into other Texans , Shiner on tap & good house veggie burger for non meat people.

Great atmosphere, good music certain beers are 1/2 price at happy hour . The Frito pie was good although I prefer a spicier chilli .

Good happy hour deals , and you have to order the bacon-wrapped onion rings . They are crazy unhealthy and kind of amazing.

One of my favorite places in JC. Holy trinity of good drinks, food and great service people.

They have a really good chicken wrap . The tap selection is great and South House is a great party spot for a Friday night.

Fried Steak and Mashed Potatoes with Collar Greens was amazing. Fresh Guaclome. Had the Purple Haze for my drink, it was tasty.

Awesome drinks and amazing atmosphere! Try one of the special drinks, it has an egg in the ingredients!

Fried chicken was very good and you can request if you want dark/white meat. But service here is very slow. It took 20 mins for guacamole and chips . And even longer for the entrees.

I didn't have the bbq here, but it's a pretty good atmosphere, and the beer selection/happy hour deals are great

Get the bacon wrapped onion rings and/or the wings as appetizer ! Pulled pork sandwich is good too!

Country fried steak is fantastic. Michelada is just average, but one of the only places in the area which makes them.

The Cajun Queen is one of the best cocktails I've ever had! Yum.

The bar in the basement is great. Pool tables , foosball , shuffleboard , darts .

More of a Jersey crowd than a Jersey City crowd. Downstairs has pool table , foozball, darts and more.

Great place! Food, service and vibe.

Southern/Soul Food with no sweet tea ?!?!

Food came our cold or over cooked. Waitress discounted our check but the cost per plate wasn't worth it. The drinks are OK but for better drinks at a similar price you should go to dull boy.
