The pub side is better than the restaurant side. Burger was great: juicy and tasty. The fish sandwich was good but maybe a little dry. Overall great pub ! Recommend jugged hare pale ale ! Enjoy!

Very special find. Indoors bar at the front cosy rooms at the back and a fire and arm chair sofa eating then a terrace (if you’re lucky enough to get a space)

Fabulous traditional pub right beside the Thames in Poplar. Food is first class , but because it's close to Canary Wharf financial district, some prices can be eye-watering. Great views of the river .

Sit by the fire, try one of their gin drinks....nice twist on a drink staple. Blood pudding & duck egg is a nice change!

Beef roast on a winter's Sunday. Lovely beef and vegetables . Yorkshire pudding - not bad! Great views and definitely worth the walk.

Really great menu with lots of interesting things to try. If you have the artichoke you only eat the ends dipped in the hollandaise !

7.20 pm on a summer Saturday and they've run out of their best lagers . I understand that it's London, and shame on you if you can't stand IPAs or other ales , but still...

If you are organising a small group outing or a special private dinner , the upstairs dining rooms are great. Food recently has been really excellent.

Popped in for a lunchtime beer . Very friendly staff . Bar menu was a little too expensive for my random fly by and there wasn't that much I fancied off of it.

Great pub and restaurant . The Portuguese food used to be legendary. British food is also very good.

Jugged hare is a nice beer . Get the table by the picture of the gun at the end of the bar and people watch .

Very good food. Had the beef roast . Ask for plenty of gravy beforehand as they seem to ration it and it gets kind of boring asking for more every 5 minutes.

Pretty disappointed with the restaurant . After read good recommendation about the place I came in and after booked to have the roast beef they didn't have the beef . Plus bill with food we didn't order
