The Mall Tavern

If you're even in vicinity of Mall Tavern, you need to go here for this burger . We went twice because the burgers and ales are so good. Possibly best I've ever had. The staff is also super friendly !

Had the most insane group private dinner inside the kitchen upstairs. Book it!! (and ask for the birthday dessert routine...they know what that means)

The Mall Tavern is a truly fabulous pub , and without doubt one of the best in the area. It has more than 20 beer taps, and the beers are constantly changing and always interesting. Great staff also.

Nice but small beer garden . Plenty of keg beers on tap .

The Sunday roast - Rib Eye Beef (16£) is good! The atmosphere doesn't impress though.

Excellent food - everything from the burger to the roast. Service is always super slow though and somehow they always feel understaffed.

Pal of a pal is Jesse - the amazing chef . As mentioned the homemade soda bread is fantastic, as is the signature cow pie . Outstanding pub all round (great NYE party too).

Get the meat pie , short rib , popcorn chicken and/or mac&cheese. Great neighborhood pub

Would be nice if they cleaned their taps. All the beers are a bit sour. But the Mac n cheese is great.

The Cow Pie has a massive section of hollow cow femur sticking out the top, acting like a chimney. But don't let that put you off.

The chocolate salted-caramel Rolos are to die for. (But one order is enough for two people-- they're rich!)

Nice atmosphere and selection of drinks but a bit too loud to chat. Free wifi available

Get the deep fried mac and cheese balls with chipotle sauce ...

I would avoid for food. The new menu has 8 mains including nut roast. Still a nice a bar with a good atmosphere.

The scotch egg is excellent.

Delicious roast chicken . Tastes like proper chicken should and not pumped with hormones and water. Great homemade Soda bread too. Will be coming back.

Staff seem to be a bit clueless about the food they serve, she didn't had no idea what polenta was. The food was generally nice though, but the bill didn't match the pub grub or the noisy atmosphere.

Chicken Kiev ok- a bit dry but others on my table enjoyed their food.however the Puddings .. I'd give them a miss, all 4 people on our table had something different and none were any good.shame.

Barmaid has just ripped me off. Other service is great though and I hear food is good. Just b sure of the money you pay.

It's ok but when the same beer is £2.00 a half more expensive than another pub further east then I'll think twice before returning
