Beutiful Zoo full of surprises. Its is really big and can easily take all day to see. Loved all the baby animals seen (esp monkeys). The kids park is just amazing.
Tampa's Lowry Park is a perfect place which suits for a family tour , especially for fostering love of kids. The park separates into African, Asian and Ocean area, a wide range of animals live there.
The animals that I love to find at The Lowry Park Zoo are the Penguins. They are hidden on the way to the Safari area and are so cute and funny.
Get up close with some of the world's most beautiful animals. Lowry Park has been a staple for Bay area families. Spend a day boating on the Hillsborough river , have a picnic , or stroll the exhibits .
There are often great deals for annual passes to this zoo and we love to visit throughout the year to see their seasonal and holiday displays. Be sure to bring a little extra cash to feed the giraffe!
Must-see zoo ! Feed lettuce to giraffes and also check out Lorikeet Landing to see and feed beautiful birds. 15-minute drive from USF makes it ideal for day trips during family visits.
beautiful zoo ! wide variety of animals & easy to navigate. just wish there was more of a warning about how many exhibits were closed. I feel the admission was pricy for what we were able to see
Arrive when zoo opens (930am). Great to see the animals first thing and enjoy the park before crowds pile in. Happy, healthy animals. Not overwhelming. Clean . One of our favorite spots!
The bird shows are great. Food is reasonably priced. The dingo and chimp looked a little stressed. Zach on the African safari tour was the highlight. He needs his own radio show!
Beautiful Zoo and great for kids! Highly recommend especially since they have the buy once and getthe rest of the year off!
I was pleasantly suprised to find that this zoo has free rides, a spray park area for kids and, most important, the animals appeared well cared for in nice habitats.

Don't Miss: Hand-feed young stingrays in the stingray nursery , be amazed by incredible views of manatees from beneath their tanks, and observe the world-class facilities of a manatee hospital .
Get there right at opening to see the animals before they hide in the shade to cool off. The manatee exhibit is a great place for people to cool off when it gets hot.
Love the zoo ! Fed the giraffes and Zoominations is amazing
Great place to spend a day with friends! Giraffe feeding is a must. Food was good and reasonably priced, for being a zoo .

Aside from being a pretty awesome mid-size zoo , Pokestops here go hand in hand with zoo stroll pace.
Great zoo for kids! Lots of animals up close and rides!
Buy the family pass, and you will not feel obligated to stay the entire day. Sometimes we stay for 20 minutes or enough time for two pony rides .
Purchase an annual pass! $160 for a family of four gets you in all year (far better than almost $25/visit!!).
Take the African Safari ride! You really get a much better view of the Animals!
You have to visit the zoo after 18h30 during Christmas Holidays to see the "Wild Wonderland".
Awesome variety of birds. Annual pass is totally worth it, same price as a couple visits.
Go to Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo and see the white tiger in the Asian Gardens exhibit . I took my niece to the exhibit and she had a blast watching the tiger pace back and forth!
For those who have read about the camel rides, I hate to tell you that those have been closed for about a year or so now. Our camels were getting old and they have retired.--Rides Department Employee
