The hamachi sashimi , sakura masu tartare and goma-ae were favorites. Get the sake on tap and sit at the bar !
Excellent food & attentive service . Saké-marinated foie gras (pic) 1 of fave dishes. Need to come back to explore seasonal saké list.
Hit: pickled salmon appetizer & chicken oyster izakaya . Miss: octopus skewer . Very nice service!
Skewers and other Japanese izakaya favorites are the name of the game at this small Echo Park restaurant .
Love this great little spot. Not your average Japanese meal.
What isn't good here?
Japanese Izakaya ...
Food good though quite expensive for portions. Also way too loud .
I loved the salmon trout (melts in your mouth) and the rice dish wrapped in a leaf (amazing & complex flavors & textures). The ikaru tofu is good. I didn’t like the koji pork. - Connie Chiu
Can’t miss the Uni Risotto. Roasted Green Tea Panna Cotta also stands out. Great service! - Ian Chee
This place is not to be missed. Food, drinks and service was all on point - Mateo Miller
Galangal chicken fried rice, Brussels sprouts, Korean pork belly sandwich, five spice apple fritters, chamomile beer. - Dylan Greif
