Best Zoo for little kids. Small but lots of animals, great picnic space and an awesome train ride around the zoo .
Nice small zoo that is really ideal for kids. Grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. A membership is great for early admission when you can feel like you have the place to yourself.
SEE: Make sure to visit the giraffes , with daily opportunities to feed one. EAT: The Wave, which serves a variety of tacos and quesadillas , centrally located w/ views of the water and mountains .
Programs like “Backstage Pass” and “Behind the Scenes”, give visitors the chance to get even closer to the animals and see the inner workings of the zoo alongside a zookeeper. Read more

Nice zoo with a good variety of animals. Was not crowded and it felt like you had a one-on-one experience with the animals.
$11 parking . $18/ adult. over heard lots of chatter about cost when it was $13/ticket. it's a pleasant zoo though. healthy animals and nicely landscaped
If you have a couple hours this is a great place to come check out. Gorillas are usually right on the glass.
Very small but pretty zoo (also beautiful plants), for $14. Had also channel island foxes , snow leopards and fennecs. Unfortunately no RV parking allowed, also area around is very RV unfriendly.
Has the most unique selection of animals ever, definitely a place to go if you enjoy birds, they have some odd ones. I'm used to the LA Zoo , and I feel like the SB Zoo is much more fun and easier! Read more
It's $6 for parking , but it's easy to park on the street and walk. Really up close to animals, awesome zoo
