Watch Hill - Fire Island

Campsites here fill up. Reserve months in advance for Jul/Aug slots. After labor day is easy, and still gorgeous. If you don't have a rez, there are often 1st come 1st serve "backcountry" spots avail.

Quiet area of fire island . Big beach , decent snack bar . Bring a cooler full of beer and cups!

LIRR offers "getaway" deal (combo train ticket ferry pass) to this amazing spot. Free parking for drivers. If lot is full, park at the train station hundred yards or so away.

Most Prized Vacation spot ever on Earth, you need a boat to access this place...so get at me :-)

Restaurant serves dinner F/S nights. Last seating for brunch on Sunday is 2pm.

Buy bug spray. If the mosquitoes don't swarm you, the horseflies will!
