Must stop in Taipei. Freshest sashimi ! Oysters were amazingly creamy. Skip the uni. The hotpot area is also awesome and can order sashimi etc for same price. Seafood set is cheap for the portion! Yum!

So so good! Must do in Taipei! Choose sashimi , bbq or hotspot. We did hot pot in the upstairs area and got the seafood special. The food is alive just minutes before you eat it. Fresh local fruit too!

eifeh

Standing sushi bar is very affordable , especially for quality. All fish is fresh and portions are generous. Order á la carte or sets. Nigiri sets have great variety and are well priced. Cash only .

@ Sellier

It doesn’t get any fresher than this. Seafood lovers heaven. Choose????????and the shellfish ???? and seafoods are being prepared just in front of you. Its situated in an upgraded old fish market . Luv it!

Hsu-Yeung Chong

The equivalent of the famed Tsukiji fish market in japan, this one has expanded to house a grill bar , standing sushi restaurant , and catering to a no frills outdoor dining experience. A must visit.

Yugo Tham

Love the open kitchen & fish market place concept. Popular eatery for its fresh seafood , in any styles you want. Prices are rather reasonable for the standard of food. Will be back for more!

Sen Chew Lua

Great variety of fresh seafood . Overall, I enjoyed the experience of the seafood market and standing sushi bar and would recommend a visit. Look elsewhere if you are expecting top-notch sashimi/sushi.

Benedict Khoo

If u r ordering the sashimi platter , pls aim for the special selection platter which cost around NTD320+. that is the one u want. The part of sashimi they select r one of them best part of the seafood

Justin

Visit the sushi bar during off peak hours to avoid the wait. The deluxe sushi set is fantastic value for money . Only NTD600 for super fresh, high quality fish . ????

Dan Money

My go-to protocol is put your name in at sushi bar queue --> get a number for beer garden --> oysters and champagne outside --> crab legs and 下巴 at the tables --> finish at sushi bar

Amazing place! Kicked Tsukiji Fish Market into 2nd place on my list. Fresh seafood served beautifully in a very cozy setting. Both indoor and alfresco areas for dining. Price is reasonable.

Curry Matsuba

Good value for fresh fish but not tech skilled enough to merit sushi . All kids cutting fish , not chefs . Fun for first timers (atmosphere) but long line can be tedious. Skip blue fin tuna , yellow fin

Afil

How can you not visit this place when you’re sashimi freak?? Really fresh and cheap too. Can be crowded sometimes. They do have big live crabs and so on.

Located at Taipei Fish Market , this establishment hosts an array of Japanese-themed foods, consisting of both cooked and uncooked. Oh, the sushi bar is AMAZING — a must-try! • *Cash only * • Go early!

Caro Schiefer

Fresh fish and meat, but bit pricy . Cool location, either sit at served tables inside - or grab something for takeaway for outside. All food is freshly made . But I had better sushi in Taiwan...

mo pleasure

srsly amazing spread of sashimi , uni & cooked food. skip the chawanmushi & oily veggies . freshest salmon sashimi & sushi & uni won't disappoint. prepare to queue for a seat/table!

Nick Tan

Fresh and delicious seafood , clean market place, and efficient and friendly staff . Great spot to splurge and unwind. This should be among the places to visit when you're in Taipei!

K W

Reasonably priced fresh seafood , with a range of dining options situated in this revamped fish market : http://www.addiction.com.tw

Ben Lee

Grab a number and wait for the standing sashimi bar . Menu is in Chinese only but can't go wrong with a sashimi set

Tricia P.

Very fresh seafood ! Order the premium sushi platter, alaskan king crab legs and geoduck. Truly enjoyed this place, a must when in Taipei ❤️

Gregory K.

Best | clean | awesome fish market I have been to in all of Asia. a little chaotic but you will be rewarded if you come and tastes the fresh seafood here.

Angela Liu

Taiwanese fish market .. Definitely go for the restaurants inside instead of getting takeouts and eat in the standing area outside - price is similar

Jennifer Leon

Salmon belly sushi !!!! Oysters , grilled salmon , miso soup , and grilled steak are all amazing. Never a disappointing meal but be prepared to stand.

Talisa Chang

Sort of like an Eataly/upscale whole foods for seafood . Specialty market , sushi bar , hot pot , seafood resto, etc. Sushi menu is Chinese bit waiters were v helpful.

Constance | @croostifoodi

Large selection of fresh fish . You stand up and have your meal at the counter. Get a sushi assortment , tasty!

Pierre Liu

While waiting in line , check out the wine bar for some great wines . Also, check out the grocery store at the end of the night, items are usually 10-30% off.

Nicole A

How great is this place?! Fresh fish & wonderful indoor fish market environment. Go early in the morning to avoid long dinner queue. Worth the time. Very reasonable pricing and thick sashimi slices.

Angela Lee

The seafood is amazingly fresh! All the tables on first floor are stand alone seating. So be prepared to stand unless you can grab a seat outside by the entrance.

clairbear T

Great area with sushi bar , but the wait can be quite long. Very fresh food but not fantastically delicious. Loads of imported items here!

Yusuf Biton

Try the grill restaurant . A little bit expensive but it is worth for fresh seafood and good wine

Alice Hu

Affordable to-go nigiri , sushi and sashimi plates. Enjoy at standing tables outside .

Agatha Yu

The crowd is insane during the public holiday. The wait can be long, so grab a number for the restaurant as soon as you get there - sushi bar inside, binchotan grill outside and hot pot upstairs.

Curry Matsuba

Stand up sushi : stick to fish that don't require chefs to be skilled at Ikejime, might as well eat at supermarket - same fish cheaper! Oyster bar is a bargain and wine BTB cheap and decent selection.

Gregory K.

Fresh and good value sushi and seafood . However it’s kinda like eating at a grocery store at stand only sushi bar . Sucks they are cash only

E Y

cool market to hang out at, try to get a spot to eat inexpensive fresh sushi

Joanna

Amazing concept! Fish market where you can eat seafood raw or grilled accompanied by a glass of wine !

Chloe H

Best sushi dinner at the standing sushi bar for a very reasonable price! Menu in Chinese only but the waiters will help translate.

Pinpach Piyatiratitivorakul

King crab taste really good! Sashimi and sushi is good and the price is acceptable.

Steph King

Fresh seafood , sashimi and sushi here!! Yummm!! ???? Go early if you really want to eat at the restaurant else, it will be a long wait .

Jacky Yan

Try their deluxe sushi set with a glass of draft beer . Better go there earlier to avoid long queue!

Byron Wong

Sushi bar is a must. They have fatty tuna from Japan. Skip the prepackaged sushi . Quality isn't anywhere close.

Adeline Wang

High quality Sashimi&exquitite Japanese dishes , but price is way too expensive . Still a fine place to visit tough. Market is full of exotic products, also all sorts of delicatessen .

Connie Chiu

Sashimi ! Make sure you eat at he sushi bar inside. It blows the takeout sushi out of the water. Completely worth the wait.

Sebastian Phang

Always crowded this place. Food are fresh and price are consider reasonable. We have a great standing lunch here, lots of fun :)

Jason Tse

While the sashimi are fresh and etc, the stand up eating section and it's queuing logistic is just plain messy!! Take #, wait, call your #, order and then wait again for your # in cramped space.

Ai Da

If you have only one chance for a seafood binge in your visit to Taipei, you can't go wrong being here. Reservations preferred.

Travel + Leisure

Near Taipei International Airport , this fish market and food hall is popular with foodies seeking quality, but affordable , seafood .

Rick Nijhuis

Amazing, hyper-fresh and affordable seafood / sushi lunch . Must go when in Taipei!

Jenny Cui

For about $40US, you get an entire omakase worth of food. Love this place!

Simon Opsomer

The market for fresh fish . But this place seems to be on every tourist’s itinerary, not so much for the market but for the sushi restaurant inside. Even on weekdays the wait can be very long.
