Das Restaurant “Zur letzten Instanz” ist das älteste Restaurant Berlins und zählt zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Hauptstadt. Der Ursprung des Restaurants geht in das Jahr 1621 zurück, als ein ehemaliger Reitknecht des Kürfürsten an dieser Stelle eine Branntweinstube eröffnete.

I was here for the first time about 30 years ago. Today 2nd time, it is as full as the 1st time, very nice atmosphere, nice people, cold beer , what else do u want?
Cozy traditional German place, one of the oldest restaurants in Berlin . Make sure to reserve ahead. The food is authentic German so in case you don't like pork or potatoes , don't go there!

Hidden gem , oldest restaurant , great beer garden . Central. Food is exceptionally delicious, stuffed cabbage rocks! Spacious , good for groups and events . Prices are affordable . Staff is super nice.
The grilled pork knuckle is the second best in the world. (Second to Taiwan). Make a rezzie and enjoy!
It was typical German restaurant and so authentic . Everybody was polite for us (we didnt have book but they accepted 😁) Additionaly, foods were delicious.
One of the oldest taverns in berlin. A lovely tiled stove in the taproom and great cabbage rolls for dinner .

Famously the oldest restaurant in Berlin and the food is pretty good, but it's a tourist trap and the service is grouchy and really rushes you through.

Old restaurant with good ambience. But slow service and the menu had many items missing (only 1 red wine or dessert ). Good starters (black pudding and veal currwurst) were saving grace.

Bit of a salty affair but the meat is the fall off the bone kind of goodness. Charming interior but wrong order, awful table, slow and unattentive.
