Military Park is a 6-acre city park in Downtown Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. Along with Lincoln Park and Washington Park, it makes up the three downtown parks in Newark.that were laid out in the colonial era.

A wonderful park . This place is getting better and better. Very glad to see one of our City 's great public spaces coming back to life.
You can get food from the nearby shops in the commercial district and brig them over to the park , have a picnic under the trees . They also have a farmers market every thursday, pop corn is great!
Awesome place to have lunch . Thankfully this is outside my office and on a nice sunny warm day, you can't ask for more.
The new Military Park is gorgeous! Great spot to each your lunch .
Check out the Tai Chi class any Tuesday at 12pm. Get your body-mind right.

Parking is Evil. Make sure you are at a meter.
Bus Stops on Broad St. going north are: 13, 27, 30, and 76.
Traffic during the Puerto Rican Parade is horrible. Poor traffic control.

I really love this store, I buy my meat almost exclusively from here. the buffet for 8.99/lb is worth it too (huge selection of food). Produce is really good quality too, dont mind the extra cost - Twinkle Denoyo
