We’ve loved Hirano’s for 30+ years! That was mostly before leaving Savannah years ago, but I still can’t recall a bad meal & was as good as ever last week. Chicken teriyaki or shrimp are my go-to’s.
I love the Teriyaki chicken , the salad with ginger dressing , and the sushi happy hour .
Ask for the Super Mexican roll (not a regular menu item). It's like the Mexican Roll but they use a jalapeno sauce .
Try the tsunami roll and the shrimp entree special. They're not on the menu but the tsunami is delicious!
Always ask for little table. If its unavailable you should wait. PS take your shoes off
Love this place. My favorite place for sushi in Savannah.
If you're sitting at the bar , you will get to see them using same knife to cut uncooked meat and cooked spring rolls . Whether you'd want to consume your food after that is another story.
Try the G5 and Salmon Maki - Perfect combo.
