New Staffordshire Hoard gallery opened 17th October 2014. Greek and Roman artifacts moved to floor above (Egyptian artifacts still above where the hoard is now). Birmingham History Galleries also here
Pre-Raphaelites collection is really good & Birmingham School of Art section is fun. Ask 4 current temporary exhibitions : I was surprised with art from the Government Collection normally inaccessible.
Has a beautiful art collection from various medieval artists as well as modern day exhibitions . The collection in the Edwardian Tearoom has very delicate pieces that must not be missed.
Lovely cafe/restaurant, if a bit pricey . Sandwiches for two adults and two children with drinks came to £17. Hot meals for around £7, beer for £3!!!
Well worth a visit. So many things to see, such a journey of Birmingham's great history on offer.
A bit smaller than expected. Very nice plaice to visit alone or with kids . Beautiful cafe inside .
The museum is not very big but there are a couple of nice paintings . The temporary expositions are usually worth seeing. Overall, I suggest paying a visit, it does not take much time.
My favourite image from the Metropolis exhibition by Andreas Gefeller from Germany
The building itself is awesome. Some great art and exhibition pieces too.
Various collections of classical and modern art not to be missed

Vorticity exhibition fab. Beautiful building. Lots of pre Raphaelite stuff, if that's your thing
A very good and extensive Ancient Greek Collection!
It's the only and the best museum in town .
Before the gallery opened, Birmingham’s citizens had campaigned for a Corporation Art Gallery for over 40 years. Now that’s patience.
Massive luggage lockers available for £1 - ideal spot to store your luggage whilst exploring the city
The Steve McCurry exhibition is so worth an afternoon. Haunting documentary photographs that have incredible beauty. You'll remember the images long after you leave.
Make sure you leave a whole day to walk round - well worth a visit.

Hate to say it, but this is a boring museum , the exhibits are quite disappointing - especially the Staffordshire Hoard . The staff are friendly and engaging though.
There is no admission fee but they accept donations so don't be stingy.
