Great and tranquil place, bring beer ; sandwiches and your favorite person. The beach is incredible, it's an love channel ; there's plenty of romance here. Especially if you find someone that has music .

Walking on the beach with my sister on a chilly and windy February Sunday... we had all Rockaway for us! Oh, and we collected a lot of shells too!

Love to have Pickles and Pies , the bus stop and subway all right there and blocks from the beach .
This entrance is way less crowded than 97th street. Also the sand bar is closed.
They sell plenty of beach stuff as you walk to the beach
Plan to bring a novel if you take the train here...took 2 hours from Union Square in Manhattan
