The Parish

Parish is one of those venues that defines Austin's music scene. One of the best acoustics in town and lots of varieties every week. A must-see venue during the big festivals like SXSW

My favorite spot in Austin to catch live music. The people who work here are like a family and a great crowd comes in for almost every event.

If you're looking for a venue with great sound the Parish is it. Not to mention that you can see the stage perfectly from almost an locale. Make sure to check out the roof too!

One of my favorite music venues. This place has great sound and acoustics plus much more spacious and comfortable than most places in Austin.

R3MIX Wednesdays is a great monthly event with awesome EDM music. Goes down at the Parish Underground every third Wednesday of the month.

One of the best venues in Austin. Good sound & a nice interior space. But the sloped wooden walls are a bit odd.

The sound is phenomenal and shows are always fairly priced. It is perfectly located a floor above the hustle and bustle of 6th Street. Read more

With a 450 capacity, The Parish has hosted musical legends such as Pete Townshend, Slash, and Perry Farrell as well as independent artists such as Grizzly Bear and Yeasayer.

Catch musicians who seriously care about their sound - the Parish has one of the best sound systems in the country.

Walk a few doors east (towards the highway) for one of my favorite places to get post/pre show drinks – Shakespeares. Make sure to head to the roof. – Robert F.

Not a bad spot in the place to see a show. Make sure to go to snag a photo from side stage on way to bathroom, pretty rad.

It’s a cool music venue

This venue has the best sound of all the divey joints on Sixth street.

It is HOT. DO NOT BRING A JACKET!

Great venue. Got some good shows.

Great sounding room. Stop by Casino el Camino beforehand for an amazing burger.

Drinks here tend to be more expensive than you'd pay for at any other venue, so pay attention to your tab or else you'll burn a hole in your wallet.

Awful venue. Came for Julianna Barwick on the 2nd floor and can't hear a thing. Floor and walls are shaking because there's a bar on the 1st floor. Worst audio experience ever. Won't be coming back.

Nice setup. Another piece of authentic Austin.

Available for weddings, probably cheaper than the downtown churches.

#sxsw tip: skip the line. Go in through in through bikinis bar next door. Walk through the back and around. Good luck.
