I go here every year to celebrate my birthday. Great food, generous portions , friendly service . TRY THE Mekong Spicy Fish . Great flavor. The basil elevates it to a masterpiece.
We made a tradition of returning once a year when we come back to the US. Love they still have 1/2 price appetizers # the bar . Fried sticky rice and quail -- One of my favorite dishes there.
The charbroiled Vietnamese fajitas are a fusion of both the old and new worlds, and the Vietnamese crepes , garlic butter fried shrimp and sugarcane shrimp are not to be missed.

Ask for mgr if you must, in order to get your check-in deal if the waiter claims to not know! Keep in mind, that the 10% off, is ONLY off of ONE meal instead of the entire order like most restaurants !
Traditional Vietnamese cuisine , served in an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere . The extensive menu has something for everyone!
Love the Viatnamese Fajitas ! Viatnamese & Mexican collide into awesomeness!
I did not have a better General Tso's chicken than at this place: large, tender, juicy chunks of meat with delicious crust from outside. That's how this dish should be prepared!
Great food, huge selection on the menu. One of the go to restaurants in Htown.
Vote for the 2013 Best of Readers Choice for your favorite Houston Pho ! http://readerschoice.houstonpress.com/ Issue hits stands October 10th!
In 1982, Kim Su Tran La, opened the second Kim Son in Houston’s Old Chinatown downtown. The first Kim Son was in Vinh Long province at the tip of southern Vietnam.
Tofu Deluxe is my favorite dish , along with a glass of Texas Tea .
Garlic butter chicken wings are amazing but take 20 minutes to make.
Great food and, yes, you can get it as take-out 😁
Sesame chicken was good, great portions even better prices
Great general Tso's lunch plate for only $7.99!!

Love the Singapore Noodles and also the Sizzling Chicken ! I highly recommend :)
This is where my love for the Asian Cuisine actually started.
Calamari is awesome for an appetizer
The tofu v bowl is great!!!

Everything is good!
Houston Press Best of Houston 2011 - Reader's Choice - Best Dim Sum
Everything!
Really good hot and sour soup !!!
Try the Steamed Curry Squid - The squid was so tender.
We went for a treat night recently and got sub-standard food and rudeness instead of customer service. We used to be such big fans; it broke our hearts to leave angry. Horrible experience!
Try the Spicy Hot Pot - All full of good stuff.
They won't give you the 10% off the whole bill just ONE dish per order. The one least expensive one of course.
Boy, has this place gone downhill! Not only have they pared their menu down to a single sheet, but the food is nowhere near as good, and customer service is non-existent. So sad. =(
The spring rolls are delish!
Try the Asian Escargot - In chili sauce .
Alas, Kim Son is not what it used to be many years ago. Now it became a mass producer of low quality Asian food for their not so discerning patrons.
Try the Steamed Rice Sheets with Shrimp
The discount here is a lie...they won't take any thing off from my ticket because I am here with someone.
Appetizers
I guess my palate is too finicky but the general tso's chicken and their sesame chicken is AWFUL!! It tastes fishy!!! Took 1 bite and returned the platter.. NASTY! Not coming back.
Pepper steak
General Tso's
Try the black peppered crabs !
Try the Spicy Hot Pot
Only smiling person is security
Nothing beats a hot steaming bowl of Hot & Sour Soup for lunch .
Try the Har Gow
Do not order hot and sour soup . It's sweet rather than being, as the name suggests, sour.
best of asia
