Check out the used books they have for sale on the first floor to the left. Good selection & usually in good cobdition. Only $.25 a book !
The hours might be funky and the building small, but the staff are friendly and the location is good is you go to Drexel or Penn. Personally, I have all of my requests sent here.
Requests are self-serve, meaning you'll need to grab them from the shelves yourself. It actually makes things quite quick. You can be in and out in minutes.
The Walnut Street branch is a Carnegie library – the first one built in Philadelphia, in fact. It dates back to 1906.
