Kennington Park

The Chartists (a radical political reform movement) held their ‘monster rally’ here in 1848, attended by more than 100,000. Despite fears of revolution and bloodshed, the event was peaceful .

Has a beautiful recently-restored formal flower garden . Very pretty place to take up a bench

Although one of the smaller parks in London it has a great cafe and the garden is very peaceful and beautiful.

Lovely park for almost any outdoor activities , including a playground for toddlers, closed gates for dogs and facilities for playing ball sports .

Although the tennis courts are good, you definitely know that you're playing in the middle of London. Police sirens and heavy traffic all around you.

An oasis of green in the heart of Kennington. Sports pitches for hire and great cafe in the centre.

Almost directly opposite the park there is a traditional Italian Deli that serves great coffee and sandwiches & cakes - beats the park cafe hands down on price, value and taste

Space to do jogging, football or just to sit and watch.

The tennis court here is the bomb!
