The James Chicago-Magnificent Mile

The gym is a. Amazing!! As someone who trains daily the gym really does have everything you need! Cables, weight plates and barbells, gym quality weight machines. Blown away.

Most boutique hotels have a hip lobby and boring rooms. This place does not. Great rooms, awesome beds, wonderful service, and fantastic toiletries . And, of course, perfect location.

I enjoyed my stay here; staffs are all professional and fun to be with. The rooms were big enough with comfortable bed and clean bathroom . We’ll return soon.

The concierge has free bikes available in the lobby. Great for a summer ride along lakeshore drive. You may need to reserve one ahead of time.

This is one of my favorite places to stay in Chicago. Boutique atmosphere. Friendly , reasonably priced, centrally located and nice rooms.

The gym here rocks, best hotel gym I have ever been in. That said, if its nice out, go for a run up the Magnificent Mile instead past the Millennium Theater .

The best thing about the James is that the toiletries are gluten-free, which is fantastic because people DEFINITELY EAT TOILETRIES.

Great hotel . Attached Primehouse restaurant outstanding. Being right around the corner from Eataly is a big plus.

Upon entering my room "Another Night" by Real McCoy was playing. I immediately took off all my clothes and fashioned a makeshift prayer circle from the minibar. Be sure to do the same.

The in-room dining is next level. So is the room with the projection corner & day bed. Loved it!

We asked the concierge for a hip driver, since we were staying at a hip hotel . He told us to try Echo Limousine. He was Sooo right!

If you're a light sleeper, request an interior room; you'll lose a bit in the view department but will appreciate the silence. Even late at night, it's loud on Ontario.

Ok stay. The hotel itself is nice but there’s no “WOW” effect. Very basic lobby and super tiny bathrooms but at least the location is great and the service is good.

Just hanging out in the lobby is very interesting! All sorts come through it and they are all interesting too!

If you're having trouble with the doors, try putting downward pressure on the keycard as you pull it from the slot.

Staying here now. Ask for anything - they are awesome about really trying to get you whatever you want. They have *free bike rentals * too - such a good idea!

Feels homey with a bath robe & welcome treat on your bed! Love the Kiehl's brand toiletries & easy outlets everywhere for charging up.

Gorgeous hotel ! We saw 2 actors while we were there and there was an album release in the hotel bar . In the middle of everything!

Bring your own robe. They have robes in the room. But they're lonely. So your robe will cheer them up.

Upgrade to the apartment it's an amazing room. It only cost $32 when I did it online.
