The New York Public Library’s largest circulating branch. The state-of-the-art library features eight floors of services for all ages/

One of my favorite places to visit. Books , movies , and events .... All free. Great for mind expansion.
Beautiful wrap-around outdoor terrace on the 7th floor — a must see!
This is the main library excluding the famous research branch just across 5th Ave. Huge catalogue of DVDs, books and courses
The 7th floor rooftop is a nice escape from the city sidewalks below. This library also keeps late hours and has airy reading spaces
Who doesn't love a library ! A quiet (and free!!) place to rest and read in the city bustle.
Lovely place to sit down and catch up on work, the second level quiet section is better than the third level one
Good place to pick up a book and read right in the middle of midtown. The bag check at the exit needs more people to staff it.
You can’t actually check out book from the main library across the street, but you can from here!
The guards are annoying. All they do is wake up sleeping people. Leave them alone! In doing that you disturb the rest of us who came to study! Resources should be spent on cleaning the bathrooms !
The perfect quiet place to read, work, think. No music , no noisy blenders making frappuccinos , and no chatty Cathys!
I like to study across the street at the nice library until it closes and then come to this 1 because it's open late . This library smells awful and is full of weirdos. U get kicked out 15mins early.
Check out the rooftop !
Circulating counterpart to the more well known research library across the street. Expansive selection.
great views from the rooftop cafe
Check out books , movies , & TV shows at the Self Service Checkout machines on the first floor. No waiting in line !
Closed for a while for renovations but well worth the wait. The glow up is real!
It's grimey and rundown, but it has an excellent collection of books .
Huge catalogue of foreign films and non-English books . Open late and on Sunday.
The renovated Library is really worth a visit!
A great library near the "big one." Check out movies , books and audiobooks.
Ask the old nice lady near the entrance, she is delighted to help and assist
Come get your IDNYC here. But make an appointment first!
Very nice library . Most of the nypl admin is there
Great area for use of computers either the Library 's or your own.
Open until 11pm on Thursdays. Hours open listed on Foursquare seem incorrect.
Getting that Spider-Man library card.
Staff in the microfilm room is super friendly . But microfilm printing is the most boring thing on Earth.
4th floor is great for "office " work!
It's not as pretty as its neighbor but they do have better hours, WiFi , and restrooms .
Be careful. They will try and search you on the way out.
Great architecture !
Extensive DVD collection.
Wifi + really updated books 😍
Use the bathroom before you come here.
They check your bag, but it's not a full blown check. He checked one pocket on my bag that has like 8 pockets:
If you want any shot at an outlet get here early or you will be disappointed
Free WiFi isn't actually that slow
Bring your own chair.
Volumineuse en diable, des plafonds à 15m, et quels plafonds! Surmoulurés, peints, presque écrasants. Au 2ème étage dans la gde salle de lecture, prises sur toutes les tables. Wifi faiblard gratuit.
Vale a visita para ver a arquitetura do local
Um passeio incrível ❤️
Muss man in NY einfach gesehen haben.
Lugar cheio de fantasmas. É comum ver o Dr. Peter Venkman ou Dr. Ray Stantz correndo pelas escadas.
Ótimo lugar!
The i e with amazing views of the city. - Alèxia Solé
Great neighborhood library! They enthusiastically order any book they don’t have in stock. FYI the bathrooms close 5 minutes before the branch does. - Mark Heyert
The kids area on the second floor is great. Books, board games and toys. - Tim Lee
Beautiful space to work, lots of communal tables. Only problem is that there's no bathroom - you have to go to nearby coffee shops. - ᴡ Elliot
Such a cute park!!! Loved the little Merry-Go-Round. A delightful place to stroll through or sit for a bit. - Mae 🌸🌺 Beerman
Great way to take in the whole city. We went on a Friday at 1pm and there was no line. Staff are very helpful and courteous. - Chad Curry
Dinner at Alfredo Italian resto accross the street is wonderful. Delicious pasta and good service. - Michelle Urdiales
