The food is amazing, and the service is stellar! I eat at Spang Makandra often, everytime I'm welcomed back with genuine smiles from everyone. Love this place! I can't recommend it enough :)

Roti vegetarian has yummy potatoes . Javanese rames is a good way to try many items and the peanut noodles are delicious. The staff can be inattentive as they're busy chatting with their friends...

It’s great if you’re on a budget, as almost all the items on the menu are less than €10. There are plenty of Javanese-Indonesian options, but for something more authentically Surinamese, try the roti .

This was my first time trying Surinam food , and I gotta say...it's one of my most favorite food now. The service can be improved but the taste is very 👌.

The Roti is good, and the bananen (plantain ) appetizer . Very small and always busy. But well worth the wait. Its also cheap !

The saoto soup (chicken soup with a hardboiled egg and lots of bean sprouts ) was delicious! But the Javanese rames was not so great - ordinary and the keropok tasted fishy (not good).
